Staff Accountant - Charlotte, NC (WFH)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Preparing, analyzing, and comparing Ledger to Sub Ledger.
• Reconciling daily bank transactions and ensuring accurate cash flow tracking.
• Assisting in the preparation of supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
• Processing and reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
• Assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations across PGC's multiple entities.
• Supporting compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
• Participating in special projects, process improvements, and system implementations as needed.
• Providing support for budgeting and forecasting activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• CPA or working towards CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a multi-entity corporate structure is preferred.
• Prior experience with private equity-owned businesses.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Infor Syteline preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
